Secured By Design Award (14-04-08) |
|
DataSMS has been awarded the coveted Secured by Design (SBD) Award for Tag n Go.
Tag n Go is the first and only range of child safety products currently accredited by SBD and officially recommended by Police forces throughout the UK.
SBD is an initiative from the Association of Chief Police Officers that aims to reduce crime through effective environmental design. The SBD logo is the only symbol that guarantees national Police approval of a product, giving customers the reassurance that it provides a realistic level of resistance to criminal attack.
Securing SBD accreditation provides Tag n Go with a unique competitive advantage and reiterates its status as a first-class product. |

Wristbands reunite parents with lost children (23-01-08) |
|
Written by Nick Whitten, Evening Chronicle |
|
CONFUSED children in tears, panic-stricken parents and tannoy calls for lost youngsters may be a thing of the past. |
That’s because a company has developed a system called Tag n Go which aims to help reunite lost children with their parents. |
The system, devised by Blyth-based DataSMS Ltd, is already proving a hit with organisations including a number of schools and Sure Start across Tyneside is beginning to use it. |
Sure Start assistant head of children’s centres, Corrinne Coxon, said: "Parents were consulted before we purchased the bands and their views were that any additional measures we could put in place to add to the safety of their children would be welcome and would give them greater peace of mind." |
|
Richard Atha, whose three-year-old son Joshua attends the Sure Start nursery in Shiremoor said: "I think it is a good idea. It provides some extra back-up for the likes of the nursery staff. I hate to compare it to this, but it is a bit like a dog tag. But any item that helps children’s security has to be a good thing." read full article.. |
